Please take advantage of the full week of preview! The volume and quality of material to be sold will require some time to fully inspect and appreciate.
Pre-Auction Event: August 9th (Thursday), 5 p.m.
All registered bidders, and their repective guests, are invited to attend a catered meet-and-greet in the Royal Theater at 5 p.m. A great BBQ dinner will be served and this will be a wonderful time for attendees to meet new friends and catch up with old friends! Around 6:30, we will hold a screening of The Last Picture Show. This will be a rare opportunity to screen the movie that put Archer City on the map -- and in the same theater featured in the movie! This event will be a great kick-off to this special auction, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Auction: August 10 (Friday) & 11 (Saturday), 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Day 1: August 10th. Contents of Booked Up buildings #3 & #4 to be auctioned along with the McMurtry 100 (100 single-item lots). The auction will begin with #4 at 10 a.m. There will be a 1-hour break for lunch. Approximately 930 lots total will be sold this first day. Snacks and drinks will be provided to bidders during the sale.
Day 2: August 11th. Contents of building #2 to be auctioned. The auction will begin at 10 a.m. and will include the auctioning of the Goodspeed's sign. The shelf-lots will follow. Approximately 615 lots will be sold this day. There will be a 1-hour lunch break, and snacks and drinks will be provided to bidders during the auction.
Load-Out: August 12 - 14 10 A.M. until, or 15th - 25th by appointment.
The Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday immediately following will be the best days for loading out lots won. Load-out on auction days will be possible as well, but there may be some delays. Lots may also be removed between Wednesday the 15th and Saturday the 25th; however, please call ahead and make an appointment if you plan to pick up lots during that time period.
